The songstress’ comment sparked backlash, as Conor has been with his childhood sweetheart Dee Devlin for nine years and they welcomed their first child together this year.
However, Conor has now responded to the backlash as he gave 27 year old Rita Ora a shout out while partying in London nightclub, Cirque Le Soir.
The Irish MMA fighter was filmed dancing and holding a microphone in the club’s DJ booth, before shouting: “Shout out to Rita Ora”, to the packed crowd.
He then placed his hand on his heart, as the club’s partygoers cheered.
When leaving the club in the early hours of the morning, Conor tried to cover his face as he pulled his hoodie over himself.
As fans of the couple rushed to criticise Rita after she posted the pictures, Conor’s teammate Artem Lobov has also hit out at the singer.
He tweeted in reply to Rita’s photos: “Sorry Rita, Burgers are nice but not when a man has steak at home.”
Seated next to each other at the awards, Rita and Conor looked very cosy in each other’s company as they cuddled up, with Conor putting a hand around the 27 year old singer’s waist.
They were also seen posing for selfies and having a conversation later in the evening, after Rita had changed into her stage outfit.
Conor’s longtime partner Dee Devlin has stayed quiet amid the backlash, except for posting a picture of the couple’s son to her Instagram account.
Sharing a snap of the little Conor Junior smiling, she captioned it: “Bedtime face.”
