EastEnders favourite Lauren Branning, played by Jacqueline Jossa, will leave the soap next month in a secret exit storyline.
Next week on the soap, Lauren grows suspicious about the company she returns to work for –Weyland and Co, owned by villain James Willmott-Brown.
After Ben Mitchell find something in boyfriend Luke Browning’s wallet, Lauren does some digging on the character who is James’ son.
But viewers now fear Lauren’s looming exit plot will be linked to an alarming discovery she makes when trying to find out what is going on.
With Lauren’s exit scenes set to air at Christmas, viewers have taken to Twitter predicting the character will be killed off.
One viewer tweeted: “What if Weyland has Lauren murdered!”
A second agreed: “I have this strange feeling that Lauren and Abi Branning will die at Christmas.”
Another viewer asked: “As Lauren & Abi are leaving #EastEnders are any of them going to die?”
Ben Mitchell actor Harry Reid is also leaving the soap, with fans fearing he too could be killed off on the show.
Lauren is tipped to leave with her sister Abi Branning, played by Lorna Fitzgerald.
But it’s not known if the characters actually leave Walford together – and whether either of the sisters will be killed off.
Lauren has no idea that her dad Max Branning is plotting revenge against Walford, and working with Luke and James.
But will Lauren finally work out the company’s big plans, and will she pay the price for meddling?
Viewers will have to tune into the BBC soap next week to find out what Lauren knows and whether she could be in danger.
