The 26-year-old actress and Belletrist co-founder debuted a blonde bob with a short, blunt fringe at Thursday’s Critics' Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California. And yep, it's definitely a look — a very strong one at that. It was so dramatic and in-your-face that I couldn't help but wonder if Roberts did an actual chop, or if she was just wearing a wig.
Turns out, it was the latter, according to Roberts’ go-to hairstylist Nikki Lee's Instagram Stories. "Guess who's rockin' baby bangs?!!!" the Nine Zero One Salon co-owner wrote on an image showing the wig on a mannequin head.
Roberts, who complemented her new hairstyle with an off-white sleeveless Giorgio Armani gown and Norman Silverman jewels, hit the blue carpet alongside longtime beau Evan Peters, who was nominated for Best Actor in a Movie Made for TV or Limited Series for his role in FX’s American Horror Story: Cult.
Although it’s no secret that the Scream Queens star constantly switches up her hair, I can't help but be impressed with how well she wears every dramatic change. Remember those bright red Hollywood waves? Or her long brown locks? Perfection all around.
Are permanent baby bangs next? Who knows. One thing's for certain, though, this hairstyle is definitely another one making waves this awards season.
