HOLLYOAKS airs shocking scenes in an upcoming episode as James Nightingale is attacked by returning character Finn O’Connor.
Finn O’Connor will soon return to Hollyoaks, after a recent visit from his stepmother Diane.
Diane vowed to help her son get out of prison, after he was jailed in 2015 for raping his teacher John Paul McQueen and attacking Nancy Osborne.
Finn returned briefly in scenes which recently aired on the soap, but has yet to make his big comeback – will he be back in the village?
Things take a dark turn by the looks of things, after Diane asked lawyer James to back her son.
But knowing what rapist Finn did to his partner John Paul, James has other plans.
James decides to take on Finn’s case with the intention of keeping him in prison.
This causes drama with John Paul who still fears his attacker, and doesn’t want his boyfriend having anything to do with him.
In a violent turn of events, James is attacked by Finn in front of a horrified Diane.
New pictures show James in an interview room with Finn, while Diane and police officers are stood outside.
It’s not clear whether Finn has locked the door, but it could hint he learns of James’ plans to not let him out of prison.
Finn begged Diane to help him saying he “deserved a second chance”.
She agreed, but told him never to return to Hollyoaks – will he stick to this promise and will he leave jail?
As for the shocking scenes, Diane appears to be begging her son not to do anything stupid.
James is lying on the floor appearing to be hurt, while Finn is carrying what looks to be a table leg in his hand ready to attack.
Shielded police remain outside as a tearful Finn looks at his mother – has he missed his chance at a reduced sentence?
Viewers will have to tune in to see how the characters react to news about Finn’s prison sentence – will this be the end for James and John Paul?
