OLIVIA Olson was ten when she appeared in Love Actually, and now she’s back as Joanna 14 years later.
The 24-year-old was pictured with Love Actually writer and director Richard Curtis on day one of production for the Red Nose Day special.
Emma Freud – Love Actually script editor and Richard’s wife – posted the photo to social media on Thursday.
“Oh hello #rednosedayactually cast member looking slightly older than she did in the original film,” Emma captioned the photo.
Olivia was joined by co-stars Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Liam Neeson on the set for Red Nose Day Actually, a 10-minute sequel to be aired on March 24th during Red Nose Day.
The three reprise their roles as Joanna, Sam and Daniel in the new film and fingers crossed Jo and Sam are still together.
In Love Actually, Thomas’s character is in love with his American classmate and his dad Daniel gives him advice on how to win her heart.
He thinks learning the drums will impress Joanna and so he practices enough to appear in the band for their school’s Christmas show where she famously sings the most epic cover of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas”.
In the end, Sam chases her to the airport and manages to get through security to say goodbye, and he ends up getting a kiss.
We won’t be able to delve into too much depth about their lives now, what with the film only being ten minutes and there’s loads of old cast members returning, but it looks like one scene will see Daniel giving his stepson some advice.
Emma posted another picture which shows Liam and Thomas chatting on the South Bank in a scene rather familiar to the original film.
