After years of making skin-care products that Allure editors, your best friend, that random person you follow on Instagram, your grandma, and your next-door neighbor all ride-or-die for, Sunday Riley is about to move into an all-new category: makeup. That’s right, the maker of the beloved blue Luna Sleeping Night Oil and Good Genes All-in-One Lactic Acid Treatment is about to stake a claim on your makeup bag with the brand-new The Influencer Foundation.

Keeping in mind that your makeup and skin-care routines should work hand-in-hand, the new foundation is all about effective, gentle ingredients. It’s free of those that may cause irritation like silicone, synthetic fragrances, talc, and parabens. Instead, The Influencer Foundation touts calming ingredients that even sensitive skin can handle, like Canadian willowherb, oat, chamomile, ginkgo biloba, green tea, and northern truffle extracts. All of these anti-inflammatories work together to reduce any redness you may be experiencing, so you’ll end up using less of the foundation. However, if you need more coverage, the foundation is incredibly buildable. No matter how much you end up adding, it won’t feel like you’re suffocating your skin. Instead, the foundation will continue to feel as weightless as a linen shirt on a balmy day.

Expect the 20-shade formula to be not too matte and not too luminous; it falls in the middle, with a natural-looking satin finish. That means the foundation won’t suck the moisture out of dry skin, but it also won’t make oily skin look like someone smeared a slice of 99-cent pizza all over it.

Because it comes in a tube, you can squeeze some into your palm and slather it on with your fingers (the brand actually recommends using your digits versus a sponge or brush) in less than two minutes, like a moisturizer. To make sure it’s completely blended, follow up by quickly stamping your go-to beauty sponge allover.

One more question is probably on your mind regarding The Influencer Foundation: Will it make your follower count go up to influencer proportions? That’s to be determined. You can find out for yourself once the Sunday Riley The Influencer Foundation launches on March 30 for $42 on
